Dream and Reality show how I wish mealtimes were in my family and what the reality is. Because my family includes my American stepfather and Chinese mother, thus it’s very difficult for my family to reach compromise in food. This resulted in each of us eating different meals and different times. The animation over the video, which is faded in to give a dream-like quality, is my “ideal” family meal, where we talk and eat together. However, it stops abruptly to give the audience a disappointment and loss when faced with reality.
