I wanted to create a huge necklace, with pearls and ribbons. The bigness of it is important because in the performance I want it to seem like both a necklace but also a collar. The whiteness of the ribbons and the pearls should be pristine and fragile but also restrictive. 

The performance was not instructed nor informed. I wanted to capture the most natural and initial reaction to this sculpture. His reactions to a “feminine” necklace was expectedly ungentle, learning the possibilities of caring or destroying it.
